Faster Delivery, Lower Price
TD Center
announces major changes to their Thermal Diffusion (Vanadium Carbide)
tool coating business. According to Kelly McVey, Business Unit Manager,
"We have been working diligently to better understand our customers
needs. Based on feedback from a recent survey, we have identified
several key areas to focus our efforts."

TURNAROUND
TIME
The biggest
target for improvement by Kelly has been the time it takes to do
TD. The TD Center currently has a lead-time that is 3-4 days for
non-post hardened and 5-6 days for post hardened product. According
to McVey, "We are working hard on improving this level of performance,
our team is continually striving to improve upon these delivery
times."
PRICING/PAYMENT
To react to
the weak economy, most businesses are looking to cut costs and still
get the same quality of goods and services. In response to this,
the TD Center has overhauled its price structure to simplify
quoting, include more services and reduce per pound prices. McVey
explains, "This is a significant step for us as we are increasing
our quality and service and lowering coating prices up to 22%."
Included in the new pricing are these essential services: Inspection
(Rc Hardness, dimensional size verification if required), Surface
Preparation (buffing with diamond compound and light touch-up),
Silicon Carbide Blasting (removing of coating prior to polishing).
Vanadium Carbide
coating is priced per pound, based on the total weight of the order.
The best price is $17.50 a pound on orders of 400 lbs or
more, a reduction of 12% from the previous price. Extra polishing
service is still $60 per hour and Post Hardening services are available
at extra cost. A tooling pricing sheet is available by calling 1-877-TD-CENTR.
And to help facilitate a more effortless method of doing business
with TD Center, the company now accepts Visa and MasterCard.

TD Center, Nova3 and other TD Center products and services
